TERRACE OIL AKVA water-soluble oil is intended for coating wooden surfaces (including terrace boards, bridges, fences, etc.) outdoors. The oil protects the treated wood from the effects of the atmosphere and dirt, improves the wear resistance of the treated surfaces and inhibits water absorption. It is permitted to use for treating both new and previously oiled or impregnated wood surfaces, provided that they have retained absorbency. TERRACE OIL AKVA should only be used in tinted form (the use of an untinted EC Base for treating surfaces outdoors is not permitted).
Stir TERRACE OIL AKVA thoroughly before use. Apply in 1–2 coats on a clean and dry wooden surface with a brush, carefully rubbing along the wood grain. Board ends should be treated with special care. It is recommended to stir the product periodically during use (at least once every half an hour). The ambient air and surface temperature must be higher than +5 ºC during application and drying. The air relative humidity must not exceed 85%. Drying time at 20±2 °C is 14 hours. The treatment process must be planned in such a way that the surfaces treated with TERRACE OIL AKVA are not exposed to atmospheric precipitation for at least the first 18 hours after application (if temperature is between +15 ºC and +20 ºC). In case of lower temperatures, the specified interval should be increased accordingly. Consumption when treating planed surfaces is 8–10 m²/l per coat; 4–6 m²/l per coat for untreated surfaces. Oil is ready to use and no dilution is required. Surfaces permanently located outdoors and subject to mechanical wear are recommended to be treated with TERRACE OIL AKVA at regular intervals (at least once a year). Wash painting tools with warm water and soap after work. It is recommended to use up all of the product. Dispose of empty containers in accordance with local regulations. Storage. Store in a tightly closed container at a temperature above +5 °C.
