Acrylate water dispersion paint for protection and decorative finishing of house socles. Can be used for painting new and previously painted concrete and plastered surfaces, mineral slabs as well as various galvanized sheet metal products, such as water drain pipes and gutters. Not intended for painting roofs. Forms a semi-matte coating characterized by high weather resistance. The inclusion of a modifying amino siloxane polymer in the paint composition provides excellent hydrophobicity, flexibility and water vapour permeability. The coating is easy to wash, especially when using a detergent (including both anionic and cationic surfactants, or those containing weak alkaline solutions). Base A can be used in white or tinted in light shades using the RILAKOLOR tinting system.
Surface preparation: Clean previously unpainted concrete and plastered surfaces, as well as mineral slabs from dirt and dust. If mould or other damage due to fungi and aquatic plants occurs, treat the surface with a solution of the AKVASEPT antiseptic. Before painting, new galvanized surfaces must be degreased and lightly treated with fine sandpaper or sandblasting, washed with 5% aqueous ammonia solution and dried. Remove peeled paint from previously painted surfaces.
Painting: Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Prime previously unpainted clean, dry concrete and plastered surfaces with the same SOKKEL paint diluted with 10–15% by volume of water. Apply 1–2 coats of paint after drying. It is recommended to dilute the paint to the working viscosity if necessary, using water up to 5% by volume. Apply with a brush, roller or sprayer, if the air temperature is not lower than +5 ºC and air relative humidity is higher than 85%. Paint consumption is 4–8 m²/l per coat. When painting mineral slabs and galvanized surfaces, apply 2 coats, previously diluted with water to the optimum working viscosity.
Consumption of paint when finishing mineral slabs is 6–10 m²/l, for galvanized surfaces – 9–11 m²/l per coat. Drying time at 20 ºC and air relative humidity of 50%: the surface is dry in 1 hour and may be repainted in 2 hours. Wash painting tools with soap and water after work. Store in a tightly closed container at a temperature above +5 °C.
