Chlorinated Rubber Enamel KČ-190 is intended for effective and long-lasting corrosion protection of steel, aluminium and galvanised surfaces designed for use in atmospheric conditions, including industrial and marine atmospheres. It forms a black, elastic, semi-gloss coating with a high resistance to water and salt. May be used for painting pre-primed and unprimed steel surfaces. In most cases, pre-priming increases the efficiency of the protective coat. Recommended primer for priming of steel surfaces: EPOPRIM (1-2 coats with the total dry coat thickness of up to 100-120 microns). Recommended primer for priming of aluminium and galvanised surfaces: either VL-02 or EPOPRIM (by applying a single coat with the dry coat thickness of 40-50 microns).
Mix before use. 2 coats should be applied on pre-primed surfaces using a brush, a spray gun or the immersion technique. When painting unprimed steel products, 3 coats should be applied on previously thoroughly de-rusted and degreased surfaces. No pre-dilution required when applying with a brush. When applying with a spray gun or using the immersion technique, the enamel should be pre-diluted with xylol or the SOLVEKS SPRINT solvent: up to 25% for the immersion technique and up to 40% for application with a spray gun. The same solvents should be used for washing the tools. While painting, the temperature of the ambient air and the surface to be painted should not be below minus 10°C, and the relative humidity should not be higher than 85%. The drying time between the coats is 1.5 hours at +20°С and 4 hours at minus 10°C. At the temperature of +20°C, the drying time until the attainment of the required mechanical strength is 16 hours. The consumption for each layer (not counting the losses during the application) is 7-11 m2/l. Store in tightly closed containers and protect from direct sunlight. Frost-resistant.
