AKRISTOP concentrated moisture-insulating primer is intended for moisture insulation of porous mineral surfaces (plaster, concrete, bricks, wood fibre boards, plasterboard, etc.) before painting them with water-dispersion paints, finishing with ceramic tiles, puttying or wallpapering. Provides protection of the surface against the effects of moisture and improves the adhesion of finishing materials to the treated surface.
Prior to use, AKRISTOP is diluted with water depending on the type of surface and its porosity in the following ratios* (see Table 1). The product is applied with a paint brush or roller on clean surfaces in 1 to 2 coats. Air and surface temperature must be not lower than +5 °C; relative air humidity – not higher than 85%. The corners as well as the fixation points of plumbing fittings must be treated with special care. Consumption of working solution is 4 to 10 m²/l depending on the absorption capacity of the surface. Drying time: at 20 °C: 1 hour, at +5°C: 2 to 3 hours. Clean the work tools with warm water and soap. Store in a tightly closed container at a temperature above 0 °C.
