The varnish is intended for parquet floors indoors as well as for wooden surfaces of furniture.
Stir the semi-finished varnish product thoroughly before use, then mix it with the hardener in a glass or ceramic container in the following ratio: add 8 parts by weight of hardener to 100 parts by weight of the semi-finished product. Mix thoroughly and wait for 30 minutes. When applying with a brush or roller, the varnish may be diluted with solvent 646 or 647 up to 5% by volume. Application of varnish by spraying is allowed only in designated painting sections of furniture factories. Apply the varnish on a clean, dry surface in 2 to 3 coats. The varnish must not be applied on a wooden surface with a moisture content of more than 10%.
The absolute air humidity must not exceed 65% during application and drying of the varnish. Dry each coat for 2 hours at 20 °C. The varnish coating reaches maximum hardness after 5 to 7 days. Curing time until the next coat is applied: not less than 3 hours. Particular care should be taken when varnishing the surfaces of conifers with a high resin content (for example, pine), because the effect of the solvents contained in the varnish may result in extraction of the resin from the wood into the varnish layer, as a result of which small local film surface defects may appear. If this has happened, the defective areas should be sanded with fine sandpaper and another thin coat of varnish should be applied no sooner than after 24 hours. Varnish consumption: 8 to 10 m2/l for one coat. After adding the hardener, the varnish must be used up within 8 hours. The varnish and hardener must be stored in tightly sealed containers, protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
